Al-Basar International Foundation Bangladesh sector has launched on October 14, 2016, a new medical eye camp in Bangladesh aiming at combatting blindness through the available means. This camp is prestigiously holds the position 40 and the location was chosen as Manikganj, an adjoining district to Dhaka. Doctors, administrative officers, nurses and technicians were present at the time in addition to the members of Anasr and VDP in Manikganj commandant who rendered plentiful help including facilities needed for the eye camp and volunteer services.
Patients form around the district and surrounding areas have been flooding to the camp site since early in the morning. They have surged to the field in quite queues and then each one of them waited for his turn almost silently. Some patients got attendants from their relatives, whereas the conditions of many others have been really deplorable. Year Ali was one of them indeed. He came from Kaloi village, around 10 kilometers from the camp spot. He got two daughters. Both are married and have children. They wished to help their father in leading to the camp and giving him mental support, nevertheless they have been hurdled by their own pressuring situation. Year Ali is not sad for that, he is rather happy that he has still enough energy in the body to carry a bag and and move for earning livelihood. He got no son against whom he can rest.
Year Ali has a long story of struggling with life and he consider himself a triumphant warrior as long as he could make a decent living, no matter how small the size was.
Year Ali has absolutely matured cataracts. So he could grope a red-card easily. The red-card means he is selected for undergoing free operation. This is great. Year Ali’s face was flashing and his heart was cheerful. He is very content that after a long suffering he is on the brink of seeing everything brightly again.
