Rahima,60, came from a village named Bogdor Kandi. It took her one and half an hour to reach Hajji Ismat Ali Girls School and Collage in Bhairab town. Her husband passed away years ago living her with one son and four daughters. her son Billal Mia did his best for feeding the family and rearing his four sisters. However, he unexpectedly got a severe disease and could not survive the calamity for more than few months.
The death of her son, Belal Hossain, left a deep vacuum in her life. Her husband was a strong and hardy man. He worked hard to feed his family. Her son had also inherited the strength and energy from his father. However, after their death she became helpless. It is now beyond her capacity to arrange money for treating the cataract that has struck both of her eyes.
Fortunately, she could heard of the free eye camp. She heard that the operation , lens, after operation follow up will be without any cost. Food and lodging will also be provided for free. She also knew that some eye consultants will attend the camp from abroad. All these things moved her to come to camp early in the morning.
She easily got the red card because her cataract was mature enough to be removed. She is a poor woman. However, at the moment she is praising almighty Allah for giving the opportunity to come to the free eye camp which is organized by Al-Basar International Foundation and sponsored by Noor Dubai, a Dubai based blindness control program around the world.
