Al-Basar International Foundation (BIF), Bangladesh Sector is one of the leading eye health service provider in the country. This foundation is registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau under the prime minister’s office  and is playing a notable rule in socio-economic development of the country through combating avoidable blindness.  Back in 1992,  BIF  offered free eye treatment to 3500 people of Cox’s Bazar for the  first time in Bangladesh. Of these people, 302  had had cataract in their eye. All of them were given chance for free operation and other necessary treatment. Since then the organization is dedicated to working for avoidable blindness control in Bangladesh. Today, the BIF Bangladesh Sector  is the proud owner of four well-reputed hospitals around the country and could serve, so far, more then two and  half a million people of this country. Behind this work we seek nothing except for the pleasure and blessing of Allah through combating avoidable blindness in this country.
