Charitable Eye Camps

 

slide-01Charitable Eye Camp plays a vital role in combating preventable blindness. That is why the foundation takes the matter seriously and try to launch as many camp is possible every year.  Each camp is carried out with the skilled medical, technical and administrative crews. Until the date 43 places in  34 districts of Bangladesh have been covered.

These camps are effective way to serve the needy and deprived people in Bangladesh. It is also an operative way to contribute a great deal to Vision 2020: The Right to Sight which is a global initiative launched by the World Health Organization (WHO) and a task force of International Non-governmental Organizations to combat blindness in the world.

A total of 43 camps have already been taken place in different parts of Bangladesh so far. Through these camps the foundation could extend its services to 277384  patients. This figure includes the patients received treatment at the camp’s OPDs or went through the surgical services from the temporary operation facilities or those who received eye glasses, eye droops and other medications in the camps.

Our first Charitable Eye Camp in Bangladesh dates back to 1992. In this year a camp had been implemented in Cox’s Bazar. Afterwards the caravan continued to walk around the country and could cover 37 districts by the end of 2016.
